EMS Photo Study

Overview:  The purpose of this study is to determine if there is any utility to photographs taken at the scene of an accident in facilitating clinical decision-making.

Primary Endpoints: Pre-viewing and post-viewing clinical decisions made by the EM physician.

Eligible Patients: Any patient brought to HCMC's ED from the scene of a traumatic accident.

Study Design: Prospective observational trial

Potential Risks: none.
 

Research Associate’s Role: The RA is responsible for taking photographs at the scene of an EMS call and showing them to the ED physician at the end of.
 

Physician’s Role: Physician will be asked to view the pictures after they have provided care for the patient.
